Upton-by-Chester Flower Club is one of Cheshire’s most popular flower arranging clubs welcoming new members from all over Chester and the surrounding areas.
We are a thriving club with over 80 members and our aim is to encourage the enjoyment of floral art and to promote the art of flower arranging by means of demonstrations, workshops and outings.
Each month we have a flower arranging demonstration by talented (NAFAS) National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies National or Area demonstrators who create several different arrangements on the stage. There is quite a lot of laughter during the evening, truly an evening of fun, friendship and flowers. A raffle of all the beautiful floral designs follows the demonstration followed by tea and coffee and biscuits. During the evening you will be able to visit our sales table.
We also arrange social events, outings and workshops throughout the year. The video below highlights some of the events and workshops we enjoyed. We look forward to planning even more events and outings in the future. To see our programme please click on here.
Our Flower Club will be celebrating their Diamond Anniversary in 2020. As well as special club events we are also involved in the planning of a Flower Festival at the Holy Ascension Church, Upton. The church and the flower club are very enthusiastic and everyone is looking forward to this special occasion. There are a lot of events being organised to raise funds to cover the cost of flowers for the festival.
Flower Club meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month unless otherwise stated in the programme. There is no meeting in August. Our December meeting is held on the second Thursday in the month.
All meetings are held in the Upton-by-Chester Village Hall, 28 Heath Road, Chester, CH2 1HX, and start at 7.30pm, doors open 6.45pm.
If you would like to join our Club or come as a visitor you would be made very welcome. Membership costs just £30 per year. Visitors fee £5.00 which includes refreshments
